As we walk down the program pathway together, you will begin to discover that while we are talking about the surgery, you will also hear about changing your eating habits, importance of exercising, post-op support group, and many other instructions. Many of these topics will be repeated to you again and again, and for one specific and important reason: your head has not caught up with your stomach. To complete the treatment circle, you need to know that there is a worldwide group of people who had obesity surgery and experienced the very same thing as you. And they are available at the touch of a keystroke.

The Weight Options 4 Life support group is designed to help you adapt to your new self. You will encounter a lot of changes—some remarkably wonderful; others more challenging. It is during these ups and downs that the role of a support group becomes important. They help balance your emotions; your transgressions (like eating candy) are understood, and you are among colleagues who have experienced all that you are going through. They are your support network to long term weight loss success.

We would like to invite you to one of our support group meetings. This is an excellent opportunity to meet others who had the weight loss surgery and are willing to share their experiences with you. Emmi is an interactive patient education series that manages the expectations of people who are scheduled for surgery. It covers a wide variety of information about many surgical procedures, it serves as an educational tool to effectively illustrate and synthesize difficult, intimidating and often discouraging information about surgeries.

Emmi will walk you through the entire surgical experience from pre-op to post-op, including risks and alternatives. And, while you are being educated, each click is recorded to create a permanent record of what you saw, heard and did while viewing the program.
